Before turning to film, Jeanne Bourgon worked as an environmental consultant and was involved in the creation of a Regional Nature Reserve in the Catalan Pyrenees. In 2012, she took a leave of absence to carry out a project that was very important to her: painting cinematic portraits of the dedicated cheese makers she had met through her husband, a master cheese ager. Miren is one of four films in Bourgon’s series “Cheese Makers: Old Ways Die Hard,” which presents portraits of men and women who have chosen a life inscribed with the rhythms of nature.
Her film "Miren" was selected for screening at Foça Film Days 2022.
