5th Foça International Archaeology and Cultural Heritage Documentary Film Days

“Change/Transformation” is the theme of the 5th Foça International Archaeology and Cultural Heritage Documentary Film Days

Foça is a quiet coastal town located on the Aegean coast of Turkey that has witnessed civilizations come and go for the past 9,000 years. This year, between October 5-9, Foça’s Marseilles Square will be a meeting place for film-lovers. Documentary films from around the world will be screened here and at the Reha Midilli Cultural Centre in front of a live audience and will be followed by post-screening Q&As with directors from around the world. Foça Film Days also offers workshops, exhibitions and guided tours of Foça’s historical sites. Part of the 2022 program will also be made available online. All events are free and open to the public.

Through the theme “Change/Transformation”, Foça Film Days aims to examine how and why human beings initiate change and transformation as well as the human response to change and transformation in society and the natural world. We are looking especially for films that document change/transformation during different historical periods and in different places across the globe.
