2017, France, 27', Dir. Jeanne Bourgon, French (Turkish, English subtitles)
A Basque shepherdess with deep roots in the countryside and a love of freedom, Miren lives alone with her 2 children and a flock of 170 sheep. Jean Bourgon’s film offers a portrait of this unique woman and her unique cheese. The film follows the changes in the seasons, from confinement and work in winter to beauty and lightness in summer, and it reminds us that we have choices when it comes to agricultural development and patterns of consumption.
