A home to countless civilizations for close to 5,000 years, today, Foça is a quiet, quaint seaside town on Turkey’s Aegean Coast. But between October 5-9, film-lovers from around the world will meet in Foça for the fifth annual Foça Film Days documentary film festival. Marseilles Square and Reha Midilli Cultural Centre will host screenings of 53 films from 22 countries, all touching on the theme of “Change/Transformation”. The program includes award-winning films and others being screened for the first time in Turkey, along with conversations with guest directors from Turkey and abroad, workshops, exhibitions, and guided tours of Foça’s archaeological site. All activities are free and open to the public.
