Directed by Ramazan Emiroğülu, the film I am a Grape looks at the life of Erdoğan Sözer, a grower from Gödence, a village in the Seferhisar District of İzmir. Sözer’s life is entwined with his vineyards; he treats his grapes no different than he treats his own children.
As the film follows Sözer, we learn from him the story of the grape, one of the first fruits to be cultivated in Anatolia, and we learn from experts about the problems, needs, past and future of grape cultivation.
