Dimitris Koutsiabasakos is a Greek film director, writer and independent producer known for his documentaries, television series, and short and feature films. Koutsiabasakos studied film and television directing at V.G.I.K. Moscow. He has taught acting at the National Theatre of Northern Greece, and has lectured at the Department of Cultural Technology and Communication of the University of the Aegean in Lesvos and at the Faculty of Fine Arts, School of Film Studies of Aristostle University in Thessaloniki. His work has been critically acclaimed and has received many national and international awards.

His 2020 documentary "The Weavers" was selected at Foça Film Days 2021 for screening.
