Art, science and ancient history are brought together impressively in Öykü Dikmen’s short documentary "Neolithic Circle". The film takes us on a deep dive into Karahantepe, an archaeological site in Urfa, one of the oldest cities in the world. Among those documenting the mysterious reliefs, 6-meter-high T-pillars and other gigantic underground structures unearthed at Karahantepe is the Portuguese photographer Isabel Munoz. Munoz is obsessed with a desire to understand the thoughts behind the construction of Karahantepe and how its ancient inhabitants understood the concept of “life”.
