Born in Paris, Stephane Begoin studied cinema at the University of Vincennes. He began his career as a professional editor, working on numerous programs for French television. After 10 years as an editor, he began making his own films. Begoin presents stories of basic human interest, intense spirituality, and profound scientific reflection. His documentaries explore a wide range of historical and scientific subjects. His recent films include A Samurai at the Vatican (2018), The Secret Life of Lakes (Lake Chilika) 2017, and Bacteria World : Microbes that Rule Our World (2016).
His film "The Birth of French Luxury" was selected for screening at Foça Film Days 2021.
