William Nitzky is an anthropologist and museum professional who has spent the past two decades studying the interplay between ethnic relations, tourism development and heritage management in rural China. Nitzky teaches in the Department of Anthropology at California State University, Chico, which is the home of the Advanced Laboratory for Visual Anthropology, a unique facility dedicated to the incorporation of digital cinema technology into anthropological research in order to disseminate academic findings to a wider audience.
