Baburao Ladsaheb is a humble sign painter living in a Mumbai slum who through a lucky break finds himself employed as a scenic artist in Bollywood, India’s version of Hollywood. The next thing he knows, he is being asked to supply the industry with onscreen talent as well as backstage workers. But learning to act costs money that kids living in the slums don’t have. Once again, in steps Baburao to the rescue, offering free acting classes to the children of Dharavi, who dream of having their lives transformed by Bollywood.
