Philippe Axell is a Belgian producer-director who has been making films for the past 40 years. His documentaries have been broadcast around the world and have received numerous international awards. His company Axell Communication’s productions have aired on National Geographic, Arte, and the Discovery Channel, among others. Axell’s award-winning films include “Sahara, Climate and Societies of the Past (2008), The Last Romans (2007), and Sagalassos, the Forgotten City (2003), which looks at the history of this ancient site in southwestern Turkey.
His film "Vallus The Teeth of the Earth" was selected for screening at Foça Film Days 2022.
