Katerina Efthimiou was born and raised in Piraeus, Greece. She works as a conservator of works of art at the Hellenic Ministry of Culture. She loves writing stories for children and adults and creating animations and videos. Her work can be seen on YouTube at the official channel of the Directorate of Conservation of Ancient and Modern Monuments.

Her film "Theophilos Gallery – Conservation to the Core" was selected for screening at Foça Film Days 2022.
